Full name is Tamia Renee Washigton-Hill, but known in the music industry as Tamia…Attended high school at Walkerville Collegiate which is home for the Windsor Centre for the Creative Arts…Created the "Tamia Hill Vocal Scholarship" given to the outstanding vocalists each year at her alma mater...Released Grammy Nominated "You Put a Move on My Heart" for Quincy Jones in 2004 at age 18...Released another Grammy nominated song, "Missing You" in 1996...Released her self titled debut album "Tamia" in 1998 which had 2 Top 40 hits...Released 2nd album "A Nu-Day" in 2000 featuring her biggest hit, "Stranger in My House'" which reached #1 on the U.S. Dance charts, #10 on the U.S. Hot 100 list, and #1 on the U.K. charts...Reached #4 on the Billboard with "Into You" which was a collaboration with rapper Fabolous...Recorded her 4th album "Between Friends" independantly in 2006...Appeared in the movie "Speed 2: Cruise Control" in 1997...Appeared in the TV show "Beverly Hills 90210"...Married to NBA basketball player Grant Hill to whom she was introduced to by Anita Baker.
